Meet the Team

John Laverick is the owner and director of Odour Control Systems (Aust) Pty Ltd and is well-known and respected in the business community. John established OCS with his late friend and partner, Jeff Rayfield, more than twenty years ago.

(L&ESD Cert, A.Dip Bus Man) Tony joined OCS in 2001 after a long career in the water and wastewater industry, specialising in odour control. Initially Tony had an operations role at OCS before being appointed General Manager in 2006.

(Dip Env Sc, A.Dip Bus Man) Brad joined OCS in 2004 from an industrial compliance monitoring and sales background. Brad has fulfilled roles at OCS from operations to sales and management and is currently responsible for sales, marketing and product development.

Ross joined OCS in 2007 as the operations co-ordinator after 25 years with Hunter Water Corporation. His 35 years experience in all aspects of the wastewater industry is an asset to OCS. Ross currently fulfils the role of Operations Manager and is responsible for the daily operational activities of the company.

Rosanna joined OCS in 1999 as our Office Manager and Financial Controller. Her 35 years experience includes owning and operating various businesses, as well as working for National and International companies, serving both in Australia and overseas.

Sandra joined the team at OCS in 2006 as a Sales Executive in our Commercial division, primarily promoting our Sensaroma product range. She has had over 30 years experience in the hospitality industry in public relations and marketing.

Dale joined OCS in 2010 from an environmental auditing and compliance background. Previous roles include business development and sales, and sole director of an environmental renovations and pre-construction design organisation. Dale's responsibilities include sales, marketing and product development.

Sarsha joined OCS as an accounts assistant in 2004 and is currently completing a Bachelor of Business with accounting and management majors. Sarsha is responsible for maintaining debtor accounts, bank reconciliations and assisting with financial processes.

Sandy joined the team at OCS in June 2007 as our receptionist. She is the first point of contact with our organisation, and is responsible for answering telephone enquiries, general office administration, data entry and invoicing, and providing support for the accounts department.

(B.OHS, B.Hlth Sc.(Hons), Cert IV Training & Assessment) Robert joined the team at OCS in 2010. His responsibilities are primarily involved with maintaining compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental and Dangerous Goods Transportation legislation.

[B.Ed (Ind Arts),Cert IV OHS, MEC] John joined OCS in a full time position in 1996. John has progressed from being the only technician to the role of Senior Technician, and now fulfils the role of Technical Officer - Process. He is heavily involved in the development and recording of OCS procedures.

(Dip Env Sc, Maintain Instruments & Equipment) Bay joined OCS in 2008. His main responsibilities include environmental chemical and gas testing with a major focus on wastewater systems. Other responsibilities consist of maintaining and calibrating gas detection instruments, process optimisation and other technical tasks.

(Dip Env Sc) Emily holds a Diploma of Environmental Science and Technology and is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Environmental Science and Management degree at the University of Newcastle. She joined the team at OCS in 2010 and assists with monitoring.

Derek joined the team at OCS in September 2004 after a 25 year career with Hunter Water Corporation. Derek is currently responsible for MHL deliveries and systems, and assists with testing as required.
