McBerns Sewer Vent Filters
The McBerns sewer vent filters have been designed to fit a range of vent pipe sizes from 50mm to 300mm as well as including ground mounted varieties for larger installations.
The filter media consists of various grades of absorbent natural mineral combined with a very small quantity of oxidising chemical to effectively absorb all offensive odours including hydrogen sulphide.

McBerns Ground Mounted Odour Filters
The McBerns ground mounted odour filter range has been designed for installation on top of air valves, sewer manholes or pump stations to treat gaseous emissions.
Have your council staff received an odour complaint only to find when they reach the site that the odour is no longer noticeable?
Many odours occur during peak flow times for two to three hours in the morning and again in the evening. Peak flows create greater turbulence and increase the release of biogases, particularly hydrogen sulphide. At the same time, extra displacement of sewage flow causes gases to be forced from the confined space of the manhole or pump station. These gases find their way into the atmosphere through gaps in lids etc, resulting in odour complaints.
Crews may miss critical periods but the McBerns Ground Mounted Odour Filter is always on the job.
A larger version of the standard ground mounted filter, the GM375 odour filter contains four times more absorbent media and is designed for use in more extreme situations where greater airflow capacity is necessary.
Both of the McBerns ground mounted odour filters feature UV resistant PVC construction to last many years exposed to the elements, are compact and aesthetically designed to blend into the surrounding environment.

The McBerns ZC300 odour filter is designed to extract and treat gaseous emissions in wastewater collection systems and small treatment plants. This cleverly designed odour filter is an active process that reacts with hydrogen sulphide and other foul odours, neutralising them by changing their molecular structure and releasing only clean air back into the environment. The ZC300 odour filter is ideal for use at larger sites where there is high volume air flow and difficult odour problems.
