BioStreme 111F FAQs
What is in BioStreme 111F?
BioStreme 111F Foaming Odour Neutraliser is a blend of amino acids, essential oils, vitamins, minerals, purines, pyrimidines and complex organic extracts.
How does BioStreme 111F work?
BioStreme 111F Foaming Odour Neutraliser works in three ways. Firstly, the foam visibly blankets the surface, next a powerful contact deodoriser provides immediate odour relief, and lastly, the micronutrient formulation promotes the growth of facultative bacteria to aid in organic decomposition without producing odours.
What type of surfaces will BioStreme 111F work on?
Essentially BioStreme 111F Foaming Odour Neutraliser can be used on any surface. It is widely used on garbage room floors to control leachate odours, on sludge stockpiles, landfills, in and around machinery and even on liquid surfaces such as ponds and lagoons.
How long does the effect last?
Once the BioStreme 111F Foaming Odour Neutraliser has set (approximately 20 minutes), the effects will last for between 5 and 7 days. In a lot of cases this will be enough to control the problem completely, but to effectively treat stubborn odours, reapplication may be necessary after this initial period.
Is it safe to walk on or drive over?
Yes, after the BioStreme 111F Foaming Odour Neutraliser has been allowed to set (approximately 20 minutes) it is perfectly safe to walk on - it is a non-slip and trafficable surface. Light traffic is fine, however, heavy traffic may reduce the effectiveness of the product.
What about rain - won't the product just wash off?
Light rain is fine once the product has set. In fact any liquid applied to the surface will help to reactivate the product, providing added odour control. Moderate to heavy rain, however, may reduce the effectiveness of the product. In this case, reapplication of BioStreme 111F Foaming Odour Neutraliser would be advisable.
What about vertical surfaces like walls?
BioStreme 111F Foaming Odour Neutraliser can easily be applied to vertical surfaces using either the hand held foaming applicator gun or the foaming station. The foaming quality and thickness of the product allows it to set on vertical surfaces.
Will BioStreme 111F work on greases and fats?
Absolutely. BioStreme 111F Foaming Odour Neutraliser works extremely well on volatile fatty acids as well as H2S, mercaptans, ketones and ammonia.
Can BioStreme 111F be used indoors?
Yes, provided it is applied to hard surfaces. It is not recommended for use on carpets or soft furnishings as the dampness may cause mould or fungus to form. It is perfect for tiled, hardwood or concrete floors.
Can BioStreme 111F go straight to stormwater?
Due to BioStreme 111F Foaming Odour Neutraliser being a micronutrient blend, approval must be obtained from the relevant council or water authority before the product can be discharged to stormwater.
How can BioStreme 111F be applied?
For smaller areas, BioStreme 111F Foaming Odour Neutraliser can be applied using a hand held foaming applicator gun. All that is required is a water connection. For larger applications, a water cannon or purpose built spray unit can be used. These are usually trailer mounted and designed and built to customer requirements.
How far will the the product go?
One litre of BioStreme 111F Foaming Odour Neutraliser is diluted at between 25:1 and 33:1, depending on requirements and can treat surface areas of up to 100m2. These dilution rates make the product a very cost-effective option.
